In the previous post I mentioned I would say what Peace meant to me.
A little about myself. I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland. Born and raised in the Baltimore/Harford county area. I graduated from NC State, Go Pack! I have also lived in Lousiana, North Carolina, Washington State (Northwest, USA) and Florida. Abroad I have also lived in Finland, Germany and I now live in Singapore. I have traveled quite a bit from Ireland to Saint Petersburg, Russia, Sweden, China, India, Peru, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Spain, UK, Dubai, UAE and other places you will see from this journey.
These trips have been life changing but what has been more life changing is the journey within myself. Hence, this blog to also help you on your journey too.
If I'm honest, travel has been more of scape goat to find peace because I thought peace was in a particular place. Now that I am in Singapore - as far away as humanly possible from where I grew up - there's no where to run to now ...lol :)
In 2022 it was a major shift for me that travel has become a healing journey more than anything else.
I have been traveling since I was 10-year-old on my own. Since then, I really have not been afraid to go to places on my own. I do check the safety and where I am going before I take a leap however.
I absolutely love uncovering truths especially in the context of biblical studies. I have been interested in hebrew meanings ad roots after attending some of Joseph Prince's services while in Singapore. I looked up the hebrew meaning of Shalom (peace). Literally translated the symbols stand for "To destroy the authority of chaos." The hebrew language is very pictorial. I'm no scholar in this area, but bare with me. The "chaos" part can also be translated to water and the "To destroy" can also be translated to fire. It is so amazing that in this sense it is like the fire destroys that water which is the opposite of what we experience on earth.
This translation also taught me peace is not passive. We have to fight for it. I'll explain more in the next post.
