(2022 Dubai)
When I mentioned in the last post that we need to fight for peace, I did not mean literally or physically. I believe peace ultimately comes from the grace we are showered with by grace through Jesus.
However, in the world today we are taught other things. Sometimes fighting for peace is staying still and staying calm. It is a spiritual fight sometimes to sit still.
Growing up I didn't actually know what peace was, but I knew what it was not.
2 major events shifted alot for me growing up. It is likely what pushed me to live the travel lifestyle I live now.
One was the 1 night when I was between 5 and 7 years old. My parents would argue and fight regularly, but one night, it was very bad. I tried to go back to sleep, but I definitely could not. In my 5-year-old self I honestly was not sure if both parents were going to be alive the next morning.
The second was when I was 10 or 11 and my family was separated for a year and we lost our house. From that point on it was an adventure that I have worked really hard to not repeat in the future.
These things may not sound glamorous or sound like it would lead to a life of financial independence and traveling the world like I get to enjoy now.
Also, I want to mention, I don't share my story because I need pity. I share my story as a means to connect and help other people unlock those places in their hearts that may be keeping them bound so they can live the life of freedom they seek. Even though I was young and I grew up in a Christian home, I had alot of questions to figure out about how to live a life of freedom and peace. I was not afraid to go find the answers - even if it was on the other side of the world.
And here we go... to travel the world...
My first adventure is in the next post. See you at the next stop...
